FEATURES

What it does

Automatic roles

Roles are added and removed within seconds of a member changing their tag. Nobody has to check by hand.

Partner tags count too

Link up to 10 servers to one role, so members wearing an ally's or sister server's tag get it as well.

Up to 5 tag roles

For example, one role for your own tag and a different one for partner tags.

Announcements

Post in a channel when someone gets or loses the role. Use separate channels for each, and turn pings on or off.

Your own message

Change the text and embed. Placeholders like {userMention}, {roleMention} and {tag} are filled in for you.

Sync existing members

Already have people wearing your tag? One button gives the role to everyone who should have it.

Ignored roles

Leave out staff, bots, or anyone else with a role you choose.

Search tags in Discord

Find tags with /tag-search in any server, and add your own to this directory with /tag-add.

New members too

Someone who joins already wearing a linked tag gets the role straight away.

SETUP

Set up in a couple of minutes

  1. Add the bot to your server.
  2. Move the Guild Tags Bot role above the roles you want it to give out. Discord won't let a bot give roles that are higher than its own.
  3. Open the dashboard or run /tagrole panel (you need Manage Roles). Pick a role, link your server, and press Sync.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Someone didn't get the role?

The bot's role is too low

In Server Settings › Roles, drag Guild Tags Bot above the role it gives out.

The tag isn't their active one

Members can only wear one tag at a time. Only the tag shown next to their name counts.

They have an ignored role

Check the ignored roles list in /tagrole panel.

They had the tag before you set it up

Press Sync in the panel to update everyone at once.
